Our Sunday morning meeting is broken into two parts:
Teaching Service
The teaching service begins with a time of worship through song, then kids are dismissed to elementary or junior high Sunday School where they will be systematically taught through the major stories and topics of Scripture in an age-appropriate manner. Adults remain to hear a message preached from God’s Word.
Breaking of Bread
The Breaking of Bread takes place after a fellowship break and is a special service meant to fulfill Christ’s command in 1 Corinthians 11 to “remember me.” It is an unscripted service in which the men in the congregation are invited to lead in Christ-centered worship through prayer, reading and reflecting on Scripture, or calling out a hymn. The theme of this service is announced the week before so that the church family can be meditating on it throughout the week.
